I am a science teacher by trade. I know science, I love science, and I teach science. I share my enthusiasm for science with my students, wishing to engage and enlighten my students through exploration of the mysteries of the natural world. School budgets are limited, but a good science teacher is limited only by his or her imagination. With a careful eye, you can find science everywhere. The teachable moment is only an inspiration away.
If I had my druthers, I would work in a well-equipped science lab supported by a cutting edge computer lab. Unfortunately, I have some chemicals, glassware, and textbooks. The rest is left up to me. I spend hours online looking for great ideas that require little money. I find manipulatives and models to supplement my lessons. I dig up entire lesson plans that I can plug into my curriculum. Check out some of the great things I've found online!
